DENVER -- The office of Rep. Mark Udall says the U.S. House will consider a resolution honoring the Colorado Rockies Monday. The Colorado Democrat introduced the resolution in November. The Rockies won the National League Championship to appear in their first World Series this season.
"This is a historic time for our state and our baseball team. This year, the Rockies gave everything they had--right down to the very last swing of game four of the World Series--to represent Colorado," said Rep. Mark Udall, D-Eldorado Springs, who introduced the resolution in November. "Watching Congress recognize the champion of the National League is not as rewarding as watching the Rockies win the World Series, but maybe it shows that the Colorado Rockies stole America's hearts, if not the American League."
