Libraries To Open Early For Fans To Buy Tickets

The Denver Public Library will open some locations early on Monday, October 22, to accommodate customers who would like to try to purchase tickets online for the World Series.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Monday, for the games at Coors Field scheduled for October 27, 28 & 29 (if needed).

Tickets are available only online at coloradorockies.com.

Library branches that usually open at 10 a.m. will open at 9:45 a.m., Mon. Oct. 22. These are:

Central Library: 10 W. 14th Ave. Pkwy, 720-865-1111

Byers Branch Library: 675 Santa Fe Dr., 303-571-1665

Woodbury Branch Library: 3265 Federal Blvd., 720-865-0930

Athmar Branch Library: 1055 S. Tejon St., 303-935-0721

Eugene Field Branch Library: 810 S. University Blvd. 303-777-2301

Bear Valley Branch Library: 5171 W. Dartmouth Ave., 303-935-0616

Park Hill Branch Library: 4705 Montview Blvd., 303-331-4063

Pauline Robinson Branch Library: 5575 E. 33rd Ave., 303-370-1530

Ross-Cherry Creek Branch Library: 305 Milwaukee St., 303-331-4016

Valdez-Perry Branch Library: 4690 Vine St., 303-295-4302

Hampden Branch Library: 9755 E. Girard Ave., 303-750-3885

Virginia Village Branch Library: 1500 S. Dahlia St., 303-757-6662.

Some branch libraries are closed on Mondays or do not open until noon. Visit denverlibrary.org for more information.

"With online ticket sales beginning at 10 a.m., Denver Public Library wants to support the community by opening early to give people online access," said Shirley Amore, city librarian, Denver Public Library. "Wireless access is also an option for people using the Central Library."

The Central Library, located at 14th Avenue Parkway, has a total of 84 adult Internet-ready computers on three different levels.

The DPL's Internet is connected to the City and County of Denver's fiber network for optimal speed.

The Central Library also now features a free wireless Internet connection for customers with their own laptops.
