Fans Report Rocky Road To Rockies Refunds

Rockies Fans Must Wait Weeks To Get Money Back

With the Rockies' success comes some frustration for fans seeking ticket refunds.

After the team swept the National League Division Series, thousands of fans needed to get refunds for their Game 4 tickets.

They soon learned the refund policy: mail in the tickets or take them in person, and then wait four to six weeks for the check.

"I went to refund them and found out it wasn't nearly as easy to refund them as it was to buy them. It took me about 10 seconds to buy them, and I heard it's going to take about four to six weeks to get the refund," said Dave Castor, a Rockies fan.

Most other teams in postseason play, including the Yankees, the Angels, and the Phillies, give automatic electronic refunds for unplayed games if the customer paid with a credit card.

The Rockies said their policy is easier for the customer because often the person who has the tickets and wants a refund is not the same person who bought them.
