POSTED: 6:38 pm MST December 15, 2006

(Sports Network) - The Minnesota Vikings on Friday agreed to a multi-year contract extension with linebacker E.J. Henderson.

Per club policy, terms of the deal were not released.

A fourth-year player out of Maryland, Henderson has missed only three games in his Vikings' career. He also has two interceptions on the year, returning one 45 yards for his first career touchdown against Detroit on October 8 at the Metrodome.

Overall, Henderson has played in 58 games for Minnesota, recording 288 tackles and five sacks.
