"One Tank Trip" Contest
You must agree to the rules in order to enter the contest.
- No Purchase Necessary: No purchase or payment of any money is necessary to enter. Purchase will not improve the chances of winning. All federal, state and/or local rules and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law.
- Eligibility: Must be at least 18 years old to enter and a resident of Colorado. Employees of KMGH-TV, The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. ("The McGraw-Hill Companies"), Internet Broadcast Systems, Inc. ("IBS") Best Western, Texaco Express Lubes and The Tattered Cover are not eligible (collectively, the "Sponsors").
- To Enter: To enter go to www.TheDenverChannel.com and type your contact information as requested in the "Homepage and Contest " sections. Only one entry per e-mail address will be accepted. Sponsors are not responsible for late, misdirected or illegible entries. Contest begins on June 24, 2004 at 10pm and ends on July 29, 2004 at 5:01pm. There will be 5 weekly winners. Winners will be chosen 5 consecutive Fridays starting on July 2. All times in these rules refer to Central Time. All online entries must be received before 5:01 PM Central Time each Thursday evening to be eligible for the weekly Friday drawing.
- Prize (s): 1 prize pack will be awarded to each of the 5 weekly winners. Each prize pack includes: (1) $150 Best Western Travel Card, (1) $50 Texaco Express Lube, and (1) $30 Tattered Cover Gift Card. Each price pack valued at: $250.
- Price Conditions: Prizes are supplied by Best Western, Texaco Express Lubes and The Tattered Cover. Prizes are not redeemable for cash or substitutable for any other item by winner. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a comparable prize of like or greater value for any prize, for any reason. Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes and fees, plus any other incidentals. Winners will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release form prior to receipt of a prize acknowledging that The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. has the right to publicize his/her name and likeness, the fact that he/she has won the a certain prize and all matters incidental thereto without the payment of any compensation for a period of one (1) year. The winner will be required to waive any and all claims against The McGraw-Hill Companies, Best Western, Texaco Express Lubes and The Tattered Cover, IBS, their respective affiliates, employees, agents, and representatives for any loss which may occur from participation in the contest or from the receipt or use of the prize. Non-compliance will result in disqualification and forfeit of prize.
- How to Win: There will be 5 weekly winners. Random drawing from all eligible entries will be held 5 consecutive Fridays starting on July 2 by IBS. Winners will be notified by phone and/or email by Denver's 7. Winner must provide Denver's 7 with appropriate identification (Colo. Driver's License or ID), affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release when prizes are picked up.
- Odds: Odds of winning will depend upon number of eligible entries received.
- Winner's List: For a winner's list, send a self addressed, stamped envelope, after July 31, 2004 to "Winners List" Denver's 7/One Tank Trips Best Western Giveaway, 123 Speer Blvd., Denver, CO 80203.
- Contest Conditions: The contestants and winners release the owners and employees of Denver's 7, The McGraw-Hill Companies and IBS, Best Western, Texaco Express Lubes and The Tattered Cover, their respective affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and all others associated with the development and execution of this contest, including their respective employees, agents and representatives from and against any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from the contest and the awarding and use of the prizes, including liability for personal injury and/or property damage.
- Disqualification: In the event that a winner fails to claim his or her prize by 5PM at Denver's 7 of the fourth day after notification or fails to meet the eligibility or other requirements of the contest, the unawarded prize will be awarded to an alternate winner selected at random from remaining entries.
- Miscellaneous: All entries become the sole property of The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. and none will be returned. Winner will be required to give The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. his/her social security number, legal name, age, current address, and phone number for tax record keeping purposes only.
- Sponsors reserve the right to withdraw the transmission of this contest and award prizes from among entries received prior to the date of withdraw. If for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, and unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsors which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity of the game or contest, the Sponsors reserve the right in their discretion to disqualify any individual it believes has tampered with the entry process, and/or cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest/game. The Sponsors and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents and employees (i) assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alternation of, entries: (ii) are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or provider, computer equipment, software, failure of any email to be received by the Sponsors on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to the participant or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this contest.
- Privacy: By checking the relevant box or section in the registration form, entrants agree that the Sponsors and/or Best Western may contact the entrant via e-mail with information about pre-selected goods or services. If you do not wish to receive these materials please do not check the relevant box in the entry form. If at any time you do not wish to receive these materials in the future, please use the unsubscribe procedures contained in the e-mail message. - Disputes: By entering, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the judges. Any dispute regarding the sweepstakes or these rules will be resolved by a panel of judges from The McGraw-Hills Companies, Inc. and their decision shall be final.
