DENVER -- Veterans Day is Wednesday, Nov. 11 this year and many restaurants are offering freebies for veterans. Some of the deals are also good for active duty military.Outback Steakhouse is offering a free blooming onion and beverage to veterans and active duty military personnel on Wed., Nov. 11. You'll need proof of your military service.Applebee's is also offering a free entree to veterans and active duty military on Wed., Nov. 11. You will need some sort of military ID.
Texas Roadhouse in Arvada & Longmont are offering all veterans a complimentary entree from their Early Dine menu. The offer is valid on Wed., Nov. 11th from 4pm-6pm. You will need a military I.D. Thanks to Shane, Denis and Cliff for this tip. *If you live near a Texas Roadhouse, call your local location to see if they're also offering this deal.La Casa Del Rey in Commerce City is offering a free entree and drink to all military and veterans with ID. Active duty members are welcome to show up in uniform for a free meal. Offer valid for dine-in only and only on Wed., Nov. 11.Need a cane? Sam's Club is giving away 25,000 free Hugo folding canes to Veterans on Wed., Nov. 11 and you don't have to be a Sam's Club member. However, you may need proof of military service. The Hugo folding canes retail for $29.99.Colorado's 42 state parks are offering free admission to military veterans Wed., Nov. 11 for Veterans Day. Veterans who show a valid military service identification card at park gates can get in free, along with anyone else in their vehicles.Waterway Car Wash is giving veterans a free Express car wash and 10 cents off gas on Wed., Nov. 11. Veterans just need to tell the employees they are a veteran to get this offer. Waterway has 6 locations in the Denver area.ProCuts wants to say thank you to our veterans with free haircuts on Wed., Nov,. 11 The offer is available at all three ProCuts locations in Lakewood and Littleton. You'll need to show proof of current or past service in our armed forces.Unos pizza is offering a free entree or individual pizza to Veterans & active duty personnel on Wed., Nov. 11 with the purchase of another entree or pizza of equal or greater value.Golden Corral is offering free buffet meals, including beverage and dessert, to veterans, retirees and active duty personnel on Monday, Nov., 16 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Again, note this offer is on Monday, Nov. 16.
