Debbie's Deals: Free Root Beer Float, Donuts, Carrabba's Appetizer

Sonic, Krispy Kreme, Borders Offering Freebies

UPDATED: 11:31 am MDT June 4, 2009

It's time for a list of freebies starting with a deal from Sonic.

On Wednesday, June 3, Sonic is offering a free root beer float from 8 p.m. to midnight. Sonic says the offer is only good while supplies last and only good at participating locations, so you may want to call your local Sonic before you to go to make sure it's offering the free float.

Friday is National Donut Day and Krispy Kreme will give you a free donut. Remember not every store participates in these deals, so call before you go. Want more free donuts? Join the Friends of Krispy Kreme.

Got gray hair? Miss Clairol is offering a free sample of its advanced gray solution. The Web site says the breakthrough formula covers gray up to twice as long. What's the catch? Well it appears there's only one color -- midnight black. Thanks to HeyItsFree for this tip.

If you're a coupon clipper, sign up for a $30 coupon book from Proctor & Gamble.

Here's another Web site to check out if you clip coupons, CouponMom. The second headline on the Web site says "get free coupons." It says you can print $100 worth of coupons. The best thing is you get to pick which coupons you want and it's even faster than reading the Sunday coupon sections. I printed about $7 worth of coupons, plus a $10 coupon for Dave & Busters.

Carrabba's is offering a free appetizer with the purchase of an entree. BUT you have to do some work to get the coupon. Go to Carrabba's Web site and click on enter for the contest for a trip for 2 to Napa Valley. Entries accepted until June 30. Then you'll have to write a toast to Dad in 75 words or less.

If you shop at Borders, MileHighOnTheCheap says Borders has an offer this week only that if you buy any two paperbacks at a Borders store, you'll get a third paperback free. The offer ends Sunday, June 7. There are eight Borders bookstores in the Denver-Boulder area. MileHighOnTheCheap says Waldenbooks has the same corporate ownership, but the freebie is not available there.

If you see a deal, let me know! E-mail me Deb Stanley (Deb_Stanley@kmgh.com).
