The week is starting off with food freebies. KFC, Kentucky Fried Chicken, wants you to try its new unfried chicken for free. Today (Monday, April 27) stop by a KFC location for a free piece of chicken. There's no catch, but there's also no choice. The manager of the restaurant gets to decide what kind of piece of chicken you'll get for free.

Don't forget El Pollo Loco is offering a free two piece chicken and tortillas and salsa meal tomorrow (Tuesday, April 28). One free offer per person and it's only available in the restaurant, not the drive-thru. There's one El Pollo Loco in Denver, it's at 1401 S. Have you eaten at Ted's Montana Grill? There are a locations around the metro area. While the prices are not cheap, the restaurant is offering a deal. Vote for your favorite burger fan on Ted's Web site and get a coupon for a free burger, when you buy a burger. One note, the Web site says you have to watch a portion of the video before the system will allow you to vote. I found you had to watch an entire video. Afterwards you'll be asked for your e-mail address and told the coupon will arrive in 7-10 business days.

Chiptole has a new kids menu and you can check it out for free on the next two Sundays. MileHighOnTheCheap reports that you can get a free kids meal for each regular full-size item purchased on Sunday, May 3 and Sunday, May 10. Sunday, May 10 is Mother's Day.

Speaking of things to do with your kids, have you ever tried one of the kids workshops at The Home Depot? I was in the store on a Saturday and saw a big group of kids building with wood, glue and other supplies. They looked like they were having a great time and the instructors seemed to be doing a good job keeping the attention of the kids.
