How To Return Your Game 5 World Series Tickets
Refunds Take Rockies 4-6 Weeks To Process
So what are you supposed to do with the ticket?
You can mail or return the tickets in person at the ticket office and then wait 4-6 weeks for a refund check. The Rockies don't automatically refund a credit card as some teams do, and that wait is making some fans a little peeved.
"Come on, you wanted the money now. Give us our money back now, or credit our accounts that you put the charge on," said Rockies fan Butch Eisenmenger.
The team said the current ticket holder gets the refund, not the original buyer.
"Well, the biggest thing is, we don't want to get involved in the middle of something of someone else has purchased them. And, you've paid them already for the tickets, and then they get the refund too, obviously, they get paid twice. We might have a few friends having some problems. So, we don't want to get in the middle of that," said Rockies spokesman Jay Alves.
If you bought your ticket from a scalper though, you're out of luck.
There is no deadline on getting refunds for the now cancelled Game 5.Ticket brokers with the National Association of Ticket Brokers should refund your money, according to NATB spokesman Gary Adler. (703-606-1588)
Police had been cracking down on scalpers who were selling near Coors Field. They chased down one man who was selling fake tickets and when they arrested him, they found him with dozens of counterfeit tickets and $4,000 in cash.
