What a great Saturday!

The 24/7 Weather Team delivered fabulous weather for the Second Annual Blue Shoe Run for Prostate Cancer. This year's crowd of runners was right at the 1,000 mark (just under 650 last year). I’m told the money raised for The Urology Center Of Colorado Foundation is still be tallied, but last year's event brought in $65,000!

Thanks to all the runners who honored husbands, fathers, brothers, cousins, uncles.. any man who is fighting or has survived prostate cancer. It was an honor to be the emcee for such a worthy event held just outside Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Fast forward to later in the day and 7NEWS sponsored its first-ever Education Expo! The folks at Park Meadows Mall hosted our inaugural event that brought out educators of all kinds to talk to folks who want to begin, continue or further their education.

I got a chance to talk to a number of the folks who were there to promote the opportunities their school or organization provides. I have only one criticism of the entire event: The Girl Scouts didn’t bring cookies! What were they thinking?!

Hope to see and meet lots of you at one.. or both of these terrific events NEXT year!
