DENVER -- After being diagnosed with prostate cancer 23 months ago, I was told I could now find out if my treatment last year had left me cancer-free.I was told I didn’t have to have another 3D mapping biopsy (90+ needles) again after all.The docs felt sure that a standard 12 needle TRUS biopsy would be sufficient to determine if my cancer was gone.
So with a local anesthetic, I had the 12 needle (6 cores from each side of the prostate) and then went less than a week later to get my results.I hope you’ll check it out here on the Denverchannel.com after it airs as a 7NEWS 10:15 Difference report.
