DENVER -- One look at the Winston Downs neighborhood in South East Denver will tell you that an election is close at hand. The political yard signs are everywhere.Terry Samuel is new to the neighborhood and said the signs tell her a lot of about her new neighbors.
"Kind of sprouted." she said. "You know how the leaves have changed, the yard signs have come up at the same time," she added. In this old established neighborhood, it seams that for every John McCain sign there is also one for Barack Obama, and an argument to support their candidate."Sometimes our opinions are fairly enthusiastic but we talk about it freely with all of our neighbors," said Jim Cowperthwait who supports Obama. He said the tone has always remained civil. It’s the same view from 86-year-old Sue Wood. She supports McCain."People are friendly and they believe one thing or another, but we all have our differences."
