The eyes of the world will be on Denver this week and St. Paul, Minn., next week as the political conventions storm into town.

Both cities have invested millions of dollars and hours into preparing for the highly visible event. Planning has gone on for nearly a year.

Listed below are some of the interesting numbers that have been thrown around in regard to the massive convention planning that has taken place in Denver.

By The Numbers:

• 78,000 people are expected to fill Invesco Field to see Obama’s acceptance speech.

• $160 million dollars are expected to flow into Denver’s economy this week.

• 15,000 members of the media are expected to be in Denver.

• 120 bloggers have been credentialed to cover the convention--the most ever.

• 45 lawyers have volunteered to defend protesters who are arrested.

• 4,400 delegates are expected to attend.

• 50.1 percent of the delegates are women.

• 31.3 percent of the delegates are seniors or youth.

• California, with 503 delegates, has the largest delegation.

• American Samoa, with 13 delegates, has the smallest delegation.

• Denver has 100 hotels to host delegates and visitors.

• 21,000 people have signed up to volunteer at the convention.

• 43 miles of data cables have been run through Pepsi Center.
