O.J. Simpson faces the following charges and possible penalties related to an alleged confrontation with sports memorabilia collectors at a Las Vegas hotel.

  • Two counts of first-degree kidnapping, a felony, carrying the possibility of life in state prison or a definite term of 15 years, depending on the sentencing judge's discretion. Parole eligibility begins after five years.

  • Two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, is punishable by one-six years in prison.
  • Conspiracy to commit kidnapping, a felony, is punishable by one-six years in prison.
  • Conspiracy to commit robbery, a felony, is punishable by one-six years in prison.
  • Conspiracy to commit a crime, a gross misdemeanor, is punishable by one year in county jail.
