Seattle, WA -- (Sports Network) - Aaron Rodgers threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns to give the Green Bay Packers a 27-17 victory over the Seattle Seahawks at Qwest Field. Rodgers completed 21-of-30 passes and ran for a score to lead the Packers (3-3), who ended a three-game losing streak. Ryan Grant rushed for 90 yards on 33 carries, and Greg Jennings hauled in five catches for 84 yards and a touchdown. "I thought we played very well throughout the major situations, controlled the time possession," Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said. "The long drives we sustained were a big factor. I'm very pleased with the victory. I thought it was a smartly played victory by our football team." The Packers outgained the Seahawks 313-177, as Green Bay limited Seattle to just 64 yards passing. The victors were also able to convert on 10-of-17 third down chances, while the Seahawks only went 4-for-11 in their opportunities. "We did a nice job of third down conversions today," Rodgers said. "It enabled us to keep the drives alive. It's never fun losing, and it's a very big win for our team. I'm very proud of the way we finished the game." Charlie Frye, starting in place of an injured Matt Hasselbeck, passed for just 83 yards on 12-of-23 passing, while throwing for two touchdowns and two interceptions for the Seahawks (1-4), who dropped four of their opening five games for the first time since 2002, when they finished 7-9. John Carlson and Keary Colbert each had a touchdown reception, and Julius Jones ran for 44 yards on 12 carries. "This is a group of high-character guys who are going to take responsibility," Frye said. "You don't hear guys making excuses. You don't hear that stuff. That is what is so encouraging. That's why we can believe that we can turn this thing around with the type of leadership on this team. You don't see that everywhere." Hasselbeck missed Sunday's game with a sore right knee after injuring himself in last week's lopsided loss to the New York Giants. The quarterback was held out of practice all week and was not able to suit up for the match up. He was placed on the team's inactive list prior to game time. "We don't have the ability right now, like we've had in the past, to overcome some of those things and score a lot of points," Seattle head coach Mike Holmgren said. "I'm hopeful that down the road it will be different." With the game tied in the third quarter, the Packers started with the ball on their own 49 after a punt. On only the third play of the drive, Rodgers hit Jennings behind the coverage for a 45-yard touchdown and a 17-10 lead with 5:56 to go in the frame. Green Bay padded their advantage early in the fourth, as Rodgers completed a 15-play 84-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown pass to John Kuhn, giving the Packers a 14-point cushion with 11:23 to play. Less then three minutes later, Mason Crosby made it a three-score contest after a Charles Woodson interception, putting the Packers up 27-10 on a 51- yard field goal. Frye led a scoring drive late in the game, finding Colbert in the end zone from five yards out, but it was too late, as Green Bay recovered the ensuing onside kick and ran out the clock. Crosby gave the Packers a lead on their second drive of the game, hitting a 29-yard field goal with 2:25 to go in the first quarter. But Olindo Mare quickly tied up the game, nailing a 50-yard field goal on the ensuing drive to make it 3-3 with just over 13 minutes remaining in the half. A Rodgers fumble on the next drive gave Seattle the ball on the Packers' 32. The Seahawks decided to go for it on 4th-and-1 from the 23, and T.J. Duckett was able to scamper for nine yards around the left end. Three plays later, Frye found Carlson over the middle for a six-yard touchdown, giving Seattle a 10-3 lead with 8:17 left in the second. On the Packers' last drive of the first half, the team was a perfect 3-for-3 on third downs and Rodgers finished off the 13-play, 66-yard drive with a one- yard touchdown run. At first it was ruled that Rodgers was down before the ball crossed the goal-line, but an official review gave Green Bay the tying score with 1:08 on the clock.Game Notes:Green Bay leads the all-time series 7-5, including three of the past four...The Packers defeated the Seahawks in the 2007 playoffs, winning a 42-20 game at Lambeau Field...Koren Robinson, in his second stint with Seattle, was the team's leading receiver with 23 yards on two catches.
