Browns Terminate Contract Of DB Wright

POSTED: 2:53 pm MDT May 14, 2008

(Sports Network) - The Cleveland Browns terminated the contract of defensive back Kenny Wright.

Wright did not attend offseason training activities Wednesday, for what head coach Romeo Crennel called personal reasons. The 30-year-old had been arrested for possession of nearly two ounces of marijuana in Texas back in early April.

A nine-year veteran, Wright appeared in only seven games for the Browns in 2007, collecting six tackles.

Over 133 total games with five teams, the fourth-round pick of the Vikings in the 1999 draft has compiled 364 tackles, 13 sacks and seven interceptions.
