24-Year-Old Dies In Attack In Afghanistan

The military says another Fort Carson soldier has been killed in Afghanistan.

The Defense Department said Tuesday that 24-year-old Sgt. Eduviges G. Wolf died Sunday from wounds she suffered when insurgents attacked her vehicle with a rocket-propelled grenade in Kunar Province.

She was from Hawthorne, Calif.

She was assigned to Fort Carson's 704th Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division.

Wolf was deployed to Afghanistan on June 8. She joined the Army in November 2003.

On Monday, the military reported two other Fort Carson soldiers were killed in Afghanistan by an improvised bomb.
