COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Technicians are working to restore telephone service in Teller County. Qwest spokeswoman Jennifer Barton says 911 service has been restored. However, customers in Cripple Creek and Green Mountain Falls still can't make calls outside their immediate areas. In addition, customers in Woodland Park are sometimes finding all circuits are busy.
The problem was caused by a cut fiber wire in an area three miles south of Cripple Creek. Cripple Creek is about 115 miles south of Denver.
