A bank robber dubbed the Super Sloth Bandit can't be that slow because he's already gotten away with two bank robberies.

The FBI is now asking for the public's help in identifying and finding him.

The Compass Bank at 7375 Ralston Road in Arvada was hit on July 2. The gunman walked into the bank, pointed a gun at an elderly female and ordered her and everyone to the ground, according to the FBI. He walked away after getting the cash.

On July 24, the same man entered the Bank of the West at 12080 Colorado Boulevard in Thornton. He pointed a handgun at two tellers and took their money, also fleeing on foot.

The gunman is described as a white or Hispanic man about 25 to 30 years old. He is between 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighs 175 to 185 pounds, with a stocky build, according to the FBI. He has short, brown or black hair with sideburns and a dark-colored goatee.

The robber was armed with a semi-automatic handgun, possibly a .25-caliber, and carries a black canvas tote bag.

Anyone with information should contact the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Street Task Force at 303-629-7171.
