Fire tore through a Louisville strip mall, destroying three businesses early Tuesday morning.

A chiropractic clinic, an arts and crafts store and an I.N.C. Coffee shop were the only shops in the mall at 980 Dillon Road, according to Sgt. Jay Lanpher, with the Louisville Police Department.

Neighbors living in the area called 911 around 1:52 a.m., when they started smelling smoke.

Firefighters from Louisville, Lafayette, Boulder County and the Rocky Mountain fire responded to the blaze.

"At one point the entire roof was in flames," said Lanpher.

A couple of hours later, crews were still putting out hot spots.

Officials do not believe anyone was inside the building at the time of the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
