LITTLETON, Colo. -- A man standing on his porch with family and friends was struck and killed by an unlicensed 22-year-old drunken driver who does not legally live in the United States, Littleton police said Monday.

Witnesses said at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday, a drunken driver lost control of a Ford Explorer, struck two parked cars, and then drove onto the front porch area of a Littleton apartment building where several people were standing, said Littleton Police Lt. Mike Broadhead.

The man who was run over and killed was 41 years old and also an illegal immigrant, Broadhead said. He was not identified.

Adrian Pizana Rodriguez, who is also known Adrian Pizano, was taken to Arapahoe County jail, where he is being held for investigation of vehicular homicide. Rodriguez is an undocumented alien with no driving privileges in the State of Colorado.

Additional charges are pending, according to police.

The apartment building at 368 W. Powers Ave. was partially damaged, though a city building inspector declared that the structure was sound.
