A 60-year-old man has been killed in a gas well head explosion in Weld County on Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.The explosion happened about 1 p.m. near County Road 22 and County Road 31 outside Fort Lupton.Weld County sheriff's spokesman Tim Schwartz said four people were working on the well head when there was a pressure-buildup explosion that did not involve fire.The victim was killed when he was struck by a flying well head debris, Schwartz said.Schwartz said two others may have been injured, but details were sketchy.
