Boulder police are investigating a crash that killed a woman in a crosswalk.

The woman was walking with two friends around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday when they entered the crosswalk at Greenbriar Boulevard and South Broadway Street, Boulder police said.

The woman was struck by a truck heading northbound on Broadway. She was transported to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Her friends were not hurt.

The driver of the truck stopped and is cooperating with police, Boulder police spokeswoman Kim Kobel said.

The victim's identity is not being released until her family has been notified.
