With X-ray machine broken, TSA must check all bags at Durango Airport by hand

DURANGO, Colo. - Because the only X-ray machine at the Durango-La Plata County Airport is broken, TSA agents are forced to check passenger's bags by hand.

In a press release, Airport Director Kip Turner wrote they hope to have the X-ray machine repaired later Thursday.

Until then, passengers are asked to arrive 90 minutes or more early to allow for delays at the security checkpoint. Turner wrote that the TSA will be keeping the checkpoint open all day for passengers who arrive early.
