Police sorting out how bloodshed unfolded

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Grand Junction police say a Tuesday night altercation ended with a man and a woman stabbed and another man suffering a head injury.

The fight happened about 7 p.m. in a home at 819 Noland Ave., said Grand Junction Police spokeswoman Kate Porras.

Police officers were called to the home to assist fire department personnel who were treating two people with knife wounds.

A short time later, 911 dispatchers received a call from a man at a pay phone who said he'd been assaulted and had a head injury.

"There was an altercation between the three people," said Porras, adding that police were still sorting out how the bloodshed unfolded.

All three people were transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, Porras said.
