MESA COUNTY, Colo. - Heather Jensen has returned to Colorado to face charges in the deaths of her two young sons, who succumbed to hyperthermia while locked in a heated car in November.

According to an arrest affidavit, the 24-year-old Palisade mother was having sex and smoking marijuana in a nearby truck when her sons, 2-year-old William Haze Jensen and 4-year-old Tyler Brandon Jensen, died after about 65 minutes in the car.

Jensen was arrested Jan. 16 in North Fort Meyers, Fla., at a family member's home.

Authorities transported Jensen back last weekend to the Mesa County Jail, where she's being held on $150,000 bond. She faces two counts of child abuse resulting in death, two counts of criminally negligent homicide and one count of false reporting to authorities.
