GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — Police say no one was injured after a teen girl crashed into an elementary school amid an argument with her boyfriend in Grand Junction.
Orchard Elementary School was empty when the teen allegedly careened into classroom number 13 Sunday night.
Police told Denver7 partner KJCTthat the boyfriend left the car after an argument, which prompted the girl to hit the gas and slam her car into the building.
The crash left a gaping hole and damaged just the one classroom. The school opened Monday for classes, however room 13 was closed for repair.
Police say the teen accused in the crash had her license for just 10 days. Police cited the teen for reckless driving.
