DELTA, Colo. — Emergency lines in Delta County were cut Wednesday, knocking out 911 service for most of the county. Service in the city of Delta has not been affected, however.

Residents of the western-Colorado county will need to contact alternate emergency numbers.

Residents in Paonia, Hotchkiss, Crawford and Summerset will need to call 970-872-3311 in the case of an emergency.

Orchard City residents will need to call 970-835-4960 for emergency services. Cedaredge residents call 970-856-3456 in lieu of 911.

Delta County officials do not have an estimate on when 911 service will be restored.
