NEWARK, New Jersey - A Connecticut business woman is using guns confiscated from the streets of Newark, New Jersey and turning them into jewelry.

Jessica Mindich is the CEO and founder of Jewelry for a Cause. She melts down illegal guns and shell casings from crime scenes and creates steel and brass bracelets, engraved with the serial numbers of the corresponding illegal firearms.

The bracelets range from $150 for the steel cuff to $375 for the brass bangle with diamonds.

A portion of the proceeds from her Caliber Collection go back to the Newark Police Department's gun buy-back program.
