Man completes tightrope walk near Grand Canyon: Nik Wallenda walks a quarter mile

Stunt took 22 minutes to complete

Aerialist Nik Wallenda successfully walked a quarter mile on a tightrope over the Little Colorado River Gorge in northeastern Arizona Sunday.

Wallenda performed the stunt on a 2-inch-thick steel cable, 1,500 feet above the river, with no tether.

It took a little more than 22 minutes.

The 34-year-old is a seventh-generation member of the famous "Flying Wallendas" circus family.
