SACRAMENTO, Ca - Facebook has apologized to a mother for banning her from its site after she posted pictures of her breastfeeding.
Kristy Kemp manages the breastfeeding support group Breastfeeding Mama Talk which has almost 5,000 likes on the page.
Kemp became furious when she found out that several of her breastfeeding images from her page were removed, followed by her being blocked from the page, according to KGO-TV in San Francisco.
"It's not right," Kemp told the television station. "I'm trying to do good for mothers and I'm getting kicked off for posting pictures one of the most beautiful acts a mother can do for her kid, and it's not right."
Facebook’s nudity policy states that “family photos of child breastfeeding” are allowed, but images where a breast is fully exposed and the child isn’t actively nursing are not.
