KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A passenger jet made an emergency landing at Kansas City International Airport after an unattended flash drive was found in the lavatory on Sunday.
The American Airlines jet was flying from San Francisco to New York when someone found the flash drive and reported it, according to airport Spokesperson Joe McBride. It happened at about 1:30 p.m.
The flash drive -- taped to a wall -- was deemed a "suspected bomb threat."
The plane was isolated at one side of the airport, and all 215 passengers, plus nine crew members were evacuated from the plane.
The aircraft was thoroughly searched and cleared.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities have not said what was on the flash drive.
