Federal investigators captured a suspected child pornography producer less than 24 hours after asking for tips from the public.
The man identified only as "John Doe" was arrested Wednesday afternoon, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) officials.
The identity of the man and the details about his arrest are being withheld until his first appearance in federal court, according to a statement from ICE.
The search for "John Doe" began after Danish National Police on May 3 discovered four videos of child pornography with date stamps of April 14 and 27. According to the criminal complaint, Danish authorities referred the case to U.S. law enforcement for further investigation.
The victim he recorded being sexually abused is believed to be 7 to 9 years old, investigators said.
The statement released Thursday about the arrest did not include any information on the whereabouts of the child.
