DENVER - Groupon has stopped offering gun-related discounts, but you can still get them through Denver Daily Deals.

After getting feedback from merchants and consumers, Groupon announced Monday that is has ceased all discounts and offers on anything gun-related effective immediately.

It’s not clear if this is a permanent or a temporary move.

“All scheduled and current gun-related deals featured on Groupon North America, including shooting ranges, conceal-and-carry and clay shooting, have been placed on hiatus while we review internal standards that shape the deal inventory we feature,” said Julie Mossler, a Groupon spokesperson. “The category is under review following recent consumer and merchant feedback.”

However, the daily deals site offered by the Denver Post, Denver Daily Deals, has not changed its policy.

On Tuesday, it was offering a concealed handgun class and range course through Straightforward Shooting for $99.

The email sent Tuesday morning reads: Firearm training for your loved one says, "You are the most important part of my life and I want you to always make it back home to me safe and sound every night for the rest of our lives."

The four-hour course covers basic handgun safety, ammunition, gun handling skills, how to purchase a handgun and an overview of the relevant Colorado laws regarding carrying a concealed handgun, according to the email.

It also includes one hour of semi-private instruction with one of Straightforward Shooting’s experienced pistol instructors.
