KANSAS CITY - Three children and one adult were injured when a car crashed into a Kansas City daycare facility Tuesday.
According to our sister station KSHB, an SUV collided with a second car, causing the second vehicle to crash into the building at 3611 E. 27th.Two kids had to be rescued by responders after being pinned down by the car that crashed into the building.
There were about 40 kids in the daycare at the time of the crash. Authorities believe all children are now accounted for, but the vehicle remains in the building.
The driver of the SUV was hurt and taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The condition of the driver of the car that went into the building is unknown and is not present at the scene.
The Kansas City Fire Department says they are trying to figure out how to stabilize the building. More than 20 emergency vehicles responded to the incident.
