Two Stabbed Near Insane Clown Posse Concert

Fight Broke Out Near Fillmore Auditorium

Denver police have arrested a man accused of stabbing two people who were waiting for an Insane Clown Posse concert Monday night.

Jeremy McKim, 20, is being held for investigation of aggravated assault.

Police say McKim and another man were in the Wendy's parking lot, adjacent to the Fillmore Auditorium on East Colfax Avenue, when they got into a fight.

“It was a verbal altercation that turned physical when the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim,” said police spokesman Sonny Jackson.

Another witness chased the suspect when he ran off, but the suspect suddenly turned around and stabbed him too, Jackson said.

Both victims were taken to Denver Health in critical condition. One was upgraded to serious condition by Tuesday. Their names have not been released.

McKim was identified by the witnesses who were also attending the concert, Jackson said.

The stabbing occurred at about 6:15 p.m., just minutes before the concert was about to begin.
