People who live in Colorado are pretty smart, according to a study by Portfolio Magazine.The magazine evaluated 200 American cities for the level of education of their residents.It found residents in Boulder were the smartest in the country. Twenty-six percent of residents there have a graduate or professional degree, while 82 percent have at least some college education. Six percent of residents drop out before high school graduation.Ann Arbor, Mich. was ranked second in the survey, followed by Washington, Durham, N.C. and Fort Collins, Colo.Colorado Springs came in 15th, Denver was 21st. In Denver, 67 percent of residents have at least some college education while 11 percent drop out before finishing high school. Greeley was ranked 136th, with 59.5 percent of residents attending college and 15 percent leaving high school before graduation.Check out the statistics on Portfolio's website.
