Woman's cell phone video captures tailgater flipping her off and then crashing his own truck

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. - Using a cell phone while driving is typically frowned upon, but one woman caught "karma" on video with her iPhone Monday near Tampa, Fla.

The woman's cell phone video captured the driver of a Ford pickup truck tailgating her for a full minute before he passed her, presenting a special hand gesture usually reserved for rude drivers, and then crashed his truck.

WFTS, ABC Action News in Tampa Bay, reported that Florida Highway Patrol troopers arrested Jeffrey White, 33, the driver of the truck, on Wednesday for leaving the scene of a crash.

WFTS reported that the truck took out a light pole and damaged the median when he spun across at least three lanes of traffic. No one was reported injured.

The woman asked WFTS that her name not be released. Her YouTube alias is "Florida Driver." She was able to grab a photo of the truck's license plate and provided it to the police.

"He kept spinning his wheels but couldn't get out," Florida Driver said.

She said that one of White's friends came with a tow chain to get him out and that he fled before law enforcement officers arrived.

He has since posted bond but did not respond to WFTS for comment.
