We've all been there. You finally get settled into your airline seat, anxious to reach your destination. But before you can go anywhere you have to sit through the drone of the pre-flight safety briefing from the flight attendants.
Many of us have heard the speech so often that we don't pay any attention. And the flight attendants realize that most of their audience simply isn't listening.
One Southwest flight attendant found a way to ensure that her passengers are getting the message. In a video posted on YouTube, titled "Hilarious SWA Flight attendant- In Mid Life Crisis MUST meet Ellen and Jimmy Fallon!!" the attendant turns every aspect of the monotonous briefing into a one-liner, and has the passengers cracking up and applauding.
A few highlights:
- "Position your seatbelt tight and low across your hips, like my grandmother wears her support bra."
- “We’re going to make sure… your carry-on items are shoved completely under the seat in front of you, leaving absolutely no room for your knees or feet.”
- "To activate the flow of oxygen, simply insert 75 cents for the first minute…”
- “Seriously, if there is anything at all we can do to make your flight more enjoyable, please tell us… just as soon as we land in Salt Lake City.”
