VIDEO: Kentucky All-State Choir's hotel atrium performance of 'Star-Spangled Banner' goes viral

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Kentucky All-State Choir's rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner is a social media hit after a woman staying in a hotel where choir members were also staying posted video of it online.

Michelle Johnson said she returned to the hotel from work earlier this week to find "1,000 high school students had checked into our hotel."

The students were in Louisville for the Kentucky Music Educators Association conference, where the All-State Choir performs.

It's a tradition at the annual meeting for choir members to come out of their rooms to sing the anthem at night.

Johnson caught a good portion of the anthem rendition, calling the 18 levels of singing "amazing."

As of Friday afternoon, Johnson's post on Facebook had been shared more than 170,000 times, and the video on YouTube was quickly spreading.
