A former Florida teacher has been arrested in Colorado after she was accused of pulling a 16-year-old boy out of class and having sex with him in a closet.
Kissimmee, Fla., police said the boy told school officials last month that his relationship with Kacy Christine Wilson, 28, began after the teacher started texting him and even sent topless pictures of herself to his cellphone, according to WOLF-TV
Police said they started investigating Wilson last year, but she left Florida and moved back to her hometown of Salida, Colo., where her parents live.
Salida Police Chief Terry Clark told 7NEWS Wilson was arrested at her parents' home last Thursday on a fugitive warrant out of Florida.
Clark said an officer went to her parents' home and her father answered the door and said, 'Yeah, shes inside,' and he went in and got her."
"She didn't really talk about anything and I don't think it came as surprise. Not to her," Clark said.
Wilson remained in the Chaffee County Jail Wednesday and faces extradition to Florida. Florida police have charged her with unlawful sexual activity and transmission of pornography by electronic device.
Police said the investigation began in October when an Osceola High School principal received an anonymous letter from a parent saying that Wilson might have had sex with some of her students.
"She was having sex with one of her students when she was working," Kissimmee police spokeswoman Stacie Miller told WOLF-TV.
Investigators said the teen boy was excused from a class when Wilson called his teacher and said he had left something in her classroom. When the boy arrived, police said, she gently pushed him against the wall and touched him. She then led him to a closet, took off his clothes and had sex with him, according to a police report cited by the station.
"She definitely took advantage of this child," Miller said.
According to the police report, the boy said he was ashamed of his actions and this was the first time he'd had sex. "He stated, 'It's bad that when I grow up and think about my first time, I have to think about Ms. Wilson,'" according to the reported cited by WOLF-TV.
