GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Mesa County Sheriff's Office says it will not pursue criminal charges after an 8-month-old girl was injured in a dog attack.
Doctors say the infant may have permanent scars as a result of the attack on Tuesday.
The owner told deputies she wanted the pit bull euthanized and she didn't want to go back into the home with the dog there.
According to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel, animal control officers took possession of the dog without incident.
