Cold cases happened from 1964-1987

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Five cold-case homicides are under investigation in Grand Junction.

The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel reports the deaths occurred over the past half century, including the unsolved 1964 murder of Patty Haywood.

Aside from Haywood's death, the department has reopened the 1975 death of Deborah Tomlinson, the 1979 homicide of Clyde Peterman and the deaths of Gerald Burns and David Lavender in 1986 and 1987.

Grand Junction Police Department spokeswoman Kate Porras said Tuesday there is no indication the cases are related.
