DENVER - Silly rabbits.
Parking companies at Denver International Airport are installing bunny blockers in an effort to prevent the furry creatures from damaging cars by eating spark plug cables and other wiring.
Federal wildlife workers are removing at least 100 bunnies every month, but the problem persists. The rabbits are burrowing under fences and causing damage that could cost drivers thousands of dollars.
Parking companies are installing better fences and building perches for predator hawks and eagles that consider the rabbits food to help get rid of the problem.
