DENVER - Saturday, September 13 will be a state-wide day of service to commemorate the anniversary of the 2013 floods.
Declared by the Colorado Recovery Office, the day of service is being organized at ColoradoUnited.com. On Friday, Colorado's birthday, the site went live with a map of volunteer opportunities and organizations.
Spokesman Tom Schilling says additional volunteer opportunities will continue to be added over the coming weeks.
The plan is to bring the day of service to a close with a concert and picnic in the Town of Lyons.
