CANON CITY, Colo. - A Colorado day care provider has pleaded guilty to child abuse for the drowning death of a 4-year-old boy under her care.

Leslie Grayson turned herself in last month after the child drowned in her backyard pool in Canon City.

The Fremont County Sheriff's Office says the child was playing with a group of children near the pool when he fell in. The children told authorities that Grayson was inside her home making sandwiches at the time of the accident.

According to KKTV-TV, arrest reports said Grayson was licensed to have eight children under her care, but on the day the boy drowned she had 13 children in her home.
