DENVER - The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment says the state's unemployment rate dropped to 7.2 percent in February from January's 7.3 percent.
The last time the Colorado unemployment rate was this low was in 2009.
According to the department, the largest gains were in professional and business services, leisure and hospitality, trade, transportation and utilities.
The agency said Friday that employers in Colorado reported 10,800 more nonfarm payroll jobs from January to February for a total of 2.35 million jobs.
During the same period, the national unemployment rate dropped two-tenths of a percentage point to 7.7 percent.
