CANON CITY, Colo. - A philanthropic foundation has given the Canon City Police Department two automatic external defibrillators, which are used to treat sudden cardiac arrest.
The St. Thomas More Health Foundation provided the defibrillators. The Canon City Daily Record reports the donation is the first step toward equipping every city police car with one of the devices.
Shirley Baney of the foundation says each unit cost about $1,500.
