Arkansas River rafters looking to good season

PUEBLO, Colo. - It's beginning to look like a promising season for whitewater rafters on the Arkansas River.

Even though southern Colorado is dealing with drought, there is plenty of water in the high country for this side of the Continental Divide.

According to KRDO-TV, Royal Gorge Rafting guides began their rafting season two weeks ago. Rafters are using smaller boats now as they wait for spring runoff to bring more water to the river.
