Authorities say a father was killed and his son injured when their all-terrain vehicles crashed into each other in western Colorado's Garfield County.
Sheriff's deputy Walt Stowe says the crash happened on private land north of De Beque on Sunday.
The Garfield County Coroner's Office said David S. McDonald, 63, of Grand Junction died.
"Mr. McDonald and his juvenile son were operating separate ATVs and involved in a head on collision with each other," the coroner's office said in a statement sent to 7NEWS. "There is no evidence that either ATV operator was wearing a helmet."
